It's Time for Oregon to Vote!
Our Primary Election Day is Tuesday May 19 – just 13 days from today. With so little time to make our choices and get our ballots counted, I thought it might be helpful to highlight a few points from the Elections Division of Oregon’s Secretary of State. CLICK HERE TO READ WHOLE POST.

It’s Time for Oregon to Vote.
Our Primary Election Day is Tuesday May 19 – just 13 days from today. With so little time to make our choices and get our ballots counted, I thought it might be helpful to highlight a few points from the Elections Division of Oregon’s Secretary of State.
First, you should have received your official ballot by now. Mine was in my mailbox last Thursday. If you are registered to vote and you have not received you ballot by this Friday, call the Curry County Elections (541)247-3297 as soon as possible and ask for a replacement ballot.
When you receive your ballot packet look at everything carefully. Make sure your name and address are correct. If they are wrong, call the Curry County Elections office.
As you complete your ballot follow the instructions in the packet to be sure you do it correctly. I found the Voters’ Pamphlet for this election informative and helpful.
Last, vote early. If you mail your ballot, it must have a USPS postmark by 8PM May 19, 2026 to be counted. Due to delays at USPS, your best option may be to return your ballot to an official drop box no later than 8 PM on election day. Here are the locations of drop boxes in Curry County:
Gold Beach: Curry County Courthouse
Port Orford: City Hall
Brookings: City Hall
Primary Elections are very important. Make sure your choices count!
VOTE!!
